There is no fixed time duration for the B Tech Dairy Technology entrance exam preparation, but it is better to start as early as possible, at least 8 to 10 months before the final exam date. This will give enough time to prepare by covering the maximum amount of syllabus and having time for a thorough revision.

It is not compulsory to give entrance test for admission to the BTech in Dairy Technology course at popular colleges in India. There are a good number of colleges that admit students on the basis of merit and often take extra assessment rounds like the GD and PI.

Having said that, you can consider giving the entrance exam as it will give you a backup option for getting admission since the merit based cutoffs are also quite high. Rest, you can check the official college websites for precise information.

BTech in Food Technology is better because it covers a wide range of food products, including fruits, vegetables, cereals, beverages, packaged foods, etc.

It typically offers higher starting salaries due to the broader range of opportunities and higher demand in various sectors.

Options for advanced studies and research are available. Candidates can specialise further in areas like food safety, food microbiology, food engineering and food packaging. Other than that can also seek a degree in B Tech in Food Science and Technology and B Tech in Dairy Technology.

Hope this helps!!!
