B.Tech Fees

Dear Rajpal Kumar, Every university has a different fee for B.Tech in the IT programme. But being alumni of LPU, I would share the details of the fee for this programme at LPU which is 120000/- per semester without any scholarship. However, you may get a scholarship based on your eligibility. Good Placement: Every year more than 500+ companies including national and multinational companies visit LPU for placement. A few of them are Microsoft, Amazon, Adobe, etc. In which they are placed. The maximum package availed for the Engineering programme is 42 LPA till now. Scholarships: LPU provides very good scholarships to bright students with good academic records, sports, or extracurricular activities achievement. LPU also helps students in the Education loan facility. Faculty: All faculty members are well qualified from IITs, NITs, Iims, and top-ranked universities all over the world. Infrastructure: All the facilities are available on the campus itself, a student does not need to go outside for anything. On the campus, Central Library, Hospital facility is available 24*7 for staff and students, Shopping mall, Indoor Sports Stadium with 3 Olympic size Swimming Pools, Public/Private Sector Banks, ATM, etc. Ranking:

Choosing a University is not the kind of decision to take lightly. It involves numerous factors, including cost, fit, location, postgraduate success and other aspects that will shape a student's collegiate experience. Beyond that, the University choice will influence friendships, extracurricular opportunities and daily life on and off campus. Considering the weight of this decision, an applicant should take a hard look at what he or she wants out of a University before choosing that state university. During my phase I focused primarily on the following for Chandigarh University:
Placements opportunities: Being an average student I have always been thorough with my academic studies. My scores have never reached above 75 percent which does not worry me and neither does my placement teacher head at CU. Being with the university every year my seniors are placed with good packages that give a great motivation to me and my batchmates.

1. Location: Chandigarh University is not located in Chandigarh as it name suggests and it is very common to be confused between PU and CU. CU is located in greater Mohali area towards Chandigarh- Ludhiana highway. It is about 45 minds away from main Chandigarh. One can easily get a bus or a cab from kharar which is the nearest bus stand 15 minds away from university in an auto. The nearest market is Kharar market where you can get almost all the basic necessities.
2. Infrastructure: Infrastructure is great of Chandigarh University. Campus is made in 200 acres. It has around 18 academic blocks including south campus. Food courts and small shops for refreshment is available around every academic block with a stationary shop. Basketball court and sports complex is situated for sports enthusiasts.
3. Faculty & course curriculum: Most of the faculty for engineering and sciences are Ph.D. holders with industrial experience. Faculty members are very helping and guide students well. Talking about course curriculum, it is followed by UGC guidelines and is same as in other institutions. They do provide Mandatory non graded subjects for overall development of a student. Along this there are a huge variety of open electives to choose from. Also depending upon the duration of course they segregate into students who want placements and those who do not want basically who go for higher education. For higher education exams they provide guidance and extra classes in evening.

Companies like wipro, cognizant and Deloitte take students in bulk whereas there is a competition for companies like microsoft, google, amazon. For hotel management; Walt Disney, The Oberoi, Radisson, JW Marriott etc.
