Hi Dhananjay,
You have to do B.Ed (maths) and then M.Ed in order to become a maths teacher as B.Sc or B.Tech cannot help you out in becoming a maths teacher.

Regarding qualification for a teacher, you can go for either B.Sc or B.Tech. But if you want a career in teaching field then only you should go for B.Sc followed M.Sc, NET or B.Ed.

Hi Jai,
Yes, you are eligible for TGT maths. To qualify for TGT (Trained Graduate Teacher), you need to complete 4-years integrated course (whichever the subject it may concern) with a minimum of 50% marks in the concerned subject as well as in the aggregate and B.Ed or equivalent teaching degree from a recognised university.

Its a really good branch. You can appear for interviews of other branches like CSE/ECE/SE/IT in DTU. Last year, the placement records was also decent. About 80% selection was from MAC department.
