You can consider giving some prominent entrance tests for admission to the B Tech Biochemical Engineering course at top colleges and universities like JEE Main, JEE Advanced, KEAM, and CUET. Almost all of the colleges have a marks relaxation policy in place for students who belong to reserved categories like SC/ST/OBC/PwD. The usual relaxation in marks is 5%, which can differ from one college to another.

The usual B Tech Biochemical Engineering course duration is 4 years in India, which is split into 8 semesters, including core subjects and professional electives, labs, project work, and seminars.
You will also find integrated BTech-MTech courses in Biochemical Engineering at a few colleges that go up to 5 years, letting you have a dual degree in comparatively less time and money.

B.Tech course is started new at FIMT college still you can take admission, because there is already a BCA programme in the IT Department that has been running since 2009 and its placement record has been very good, about 10% of the students are placed in MNCs like TCS and Wipro. 2 to 5% of students go for higher studies and the remaining students get placed at an average package. Therefore, the department has a record of 100% placement for almost the last 5 years. Based on this, we can say that the B.Tech programme is starting here from 2025-26. Therefore, the overall record of B.Tech will also be good.

Dr Ambedkar Institute of Technology BTech admission is based on KCET exam. Therefore, candidates are required to refer to the entrance exam dates of KCET. Candidtes are required to apply vis KEA website. Karnataka Examination Authority has released the KCET 2025 exam date at the official website. Applicants looking for admissions to engineering and other courses can check the KCET exam dates at  KCET 2025 exam was conducted on April 16 & 17. 

The annual B.E./B.Tech fees at the International Institute of Engineering and Technology (IIET), Kurukshetra, range from INR 1,45,000 to INR 1,62,000, depending on the specialization. Additional costs include approximately INR 1,00,000 for hostel accommodation and a one-time refundable caution deposit of INR 4,000. Overall, the total annual expenditure is estimated between INR 2,26,000 and INR 2,64,000.  

To get admission in B.E./B.Tech at International Institute of Engineering and Technology, you must pass 12th with Physics and Math as main subjects and at least 45% marks (40% for reserved categories). You also need a valid JEE Main or HSTES score. For lateral entry, a Diploma in engineering with minimum 45% marks is required. Admission is done through online counseling and document verification.

Atharva College of Engineering has a good track record of placements for its BTech course.
