To apply for B.E. / B.Tech at ASET, you need to have completed your 10+2 or equivalent with Physics and Mathematics as core subjects, along with Chemistry, Biology, or Computer Science. You must have at least fifty percent aggregate marks, with a valid KEAM score preferred for merit-based admissions. But even if you fall short of the entrance exam path, there are management quotas that ensure dreams still find a door. ASET welcomes dedication, not just marks.

The syllabus for B Tech Biochemical Engg. has both core and elective subjects, paired with labs, seminars, and projects. If you look at the core subjects, there is no such room for customization because they are important subjects that give basic knowledge of the field.
Talking about the elective subjects, you can choose the subjects based on your interests and understanding, the ones that align with your career goals, are easy to score, and have scope for skill development and career advancement, leaving some scope for customization.

The difficulty level of the entrance exams for admission to BTech Biochemical Engineering is largely dependent on the particular exam you plan to appear for, whether it is a national/state/college level exam.

Plus, there are other factors like the previous year's results and student feedback that the exam committee keeps in mind to set the question paper every year. In general, exams like JEE Main and JEE Advanced are very challenging and competitive, followed by the state-level exams, requiring a strong hold on the PCM subjects.

You should start your preparation at least 6 to 8 months before the final exam is supposed to happen so that you have enough time in hand to go through the entire exam syllabus, prepare all the high-weightage topics on priority, practice last year's question papers, attempt mock tests, and have a good amount of time for revision.
