Many good private colleges take admission in the basis of JEE Mains marks and rank. VIT, SRM, Amrita University and LPU conduct their own entrance exam. All of these are very good colleges, LPU also provides scholarship.

If you are determined enough to crack JEE or you think that you will crack it the go for it otherwise you should settle with the available options. One year is very important in life. You will realize this later.

JEE Advanced score is only considered for Admissions in IITs. No Institutes other than IITs are considering JEE Advanced score. Your score is good , kindly apply for Josaa counselling process. for IITs NITs and IIITS.

GATE is for both B.Tech & BE students. If your degree is valid as per UGC & AICTE guidelines then, of course, there's no question about it. You can go for Master's degree or placements via GATE if you complete BE.
