At present, any engineering programme offered through distance learning mode is not approved by AICTE, the statutory regulator for technical courses. The process is under consideration and soon AICTE will recognise distance learning courses in engineering. For latest information you can search AICTE

You are eligible to appear for Civil Services on completion of BTech CS. However CS is not a subject for Mains examination. Please refer to list of examination for Main examinations: http://upsc.gov.in/general/civil.htm#CS (Main)
