 For B.E. (UG):

You need to pass 12th (PUC) with Physics, Mathematics + a third subject (e.g., Chemistry/Biology/CS), scoring a minimum of 45% (General) or 40% (reserved Karnataka categories). Diploma holders with similar scores are also eligible .

For Postgraduate (M.Tech/MBA/MCA):

MBA/MCA: A bachelor's degree with 50% aggregate (45% for reserved), plus relevant entrance test scores (e.g., PGCET, MAT) .

M.Tech: B.E./B.Tech degree with at least 50%, and GATE qualification preferred .

Appolo institute of engineering and technology accepts students based on 12th marks and the entrance test score.To secure an UG admission students should have passed 12th with aggregate 45% marks (40% for SC/ST) in mathematics and physics as compulsory subjects along with any one of chemistry, biotechnology or biology, Technical vocational subject. The candidate also should have appeared in JEE or GUJCET.

For getting PG admission the candidate should have passed the Bachelors degree with 50% mark.some specific course may require entrance tests like MAT, CAT, CUET PG etc.

Lateral entry into 2nd year requires Diploma in engineering with at least of 60% (no entrance exam needed).

Government College of Engineering, Thanjavur offers the UG course such as B.E./B.Tech admissions which is based on Tamil Nadu Engineering Admissions (TNEA) using Class 12th marks in PCM subjects. In the case of PG course such as M.E./M.Tech candidates have to either pass TANCET or GATE. One needs a minimum of 50 per cent marks in the qualifying examinations to be eligible.
