For PG courses like M.Tech Requirement is B.Tech/BE with a minimum of 50% Marks, and qualifying in PGCET/GATE is mandatory. UG Admission in SJCIT require 45 % marks in 10+2 exam for general candidates and 40 % for SC/ST/OBC candidates with Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry/ Biotechnology/Biology. This college provides admission through KCET/COMEDK score cards for complete four year full time degree program. For PG courses, candidate must have the bachelor's degree in any discipline with not less than 50% marks (45% for SC/ST/OBC candidates) and valid PGCET/ GATE/CMAT scores. For the UG and PG courses there is the provision to admit under management quota directly.

For admission to the UG courses in SIETK, one has to clear the EAMCET every year and must have 45% marks in class XII with PCM conducted by the Govt of Andhra Pradesh for the reserved category 40%. For taking admission in PG courses like M.Tech or MBA ( Various Courses), the minimum qualification required is the obtained percentage in the bachelor's degree as 50% marks for open category students and 45% for the students belonging to reserved category and also the qualified marks for GATE/PGECET/AP ICET (For MBA) examination will be mandatory. All admissions are merit based as per state government scheduled norms.

The eligibility criteria mentioned on the official website of Saveetha University states that for admission to BCom courses, candidates must complete their Class 12 with a minimum of 50% scores and the admission decision is made on the basis of merit that is released after analysing the Class 12 results of students. The university's official website does not mention the acceptance of CUET scores for admission to BCom. However, for admission to several UG courses, SIMAT conducts its in-house entrance test i.e., Saveetha University Common Entrance Test (SUCET).
