You need to complete your graduation from any stream. After completing your graduation, you need to give a Bank PO exams that are conducted by the Institute of Banking Personnel Selection. You need to give this exam and need to pass the exam. After clearing the exam one gets appointed as the Officer. After becoming an officer you need to have a good experience in the banking sector while you need to give the internal promotion exams of the banks and with this, you can become a Bank Manager in the Public Sector Bank. In order to become a Manager in the Private Banking Sector, you must hold a degree from any stream or can also hold a degree in Banking. One needs to give the exam of the respective bank and one should also have a good percentage in the Graduation. There are basically 4 sections in Bank exam - Verbal Ability, DILR, Quants and GK.
Verbal Ability:
Start reading newspaper daily to increase your reading speed and grasping power. It will also help you to get in touch with basic vocab. Don't miss out the editorial page. Do a proper analysis of articles on the editorial page. Try to make a summary of articles that you read para by para. You can switch to the book called WORD POWER MADE EASY by NORMAN LEWIS.
DILR
The best thing to score in LR-DI is to practice more questions on a daily basis so you understand which sets you should leave and before attempting the sets what are the things you should look for. I would suggest 'Puzzles by George J Summers'.
Quants
This section is one of the most scoring section for student and you too should try to get maximum marks in this section. It has a proper syllabus and you need to practice each and every chapter. The major topics are- Geometry, Arithmetic, Algebra, Number System and Modern Math. It is basically the math that you have studied till the tenth standard. However, having said that, the questions are not really easy. Focus more on Arithmetic and Algebra as these two are the most important topics.
GK
Read newspaper daily for current affairs and go for Lucent for GK.
