Hello Tanmay Kulkarni,
Just do not worry. I can understand your angst and the anxiety. Frankly speaking if you want to become a scientist then there is no need to do engineering. You should go for BCA MCA and then Ph.D. You will then be able to become scientist. Best wishes to you.

All these courses can get you placed in an IT Company. But BCA is a 3 year course with less fees as compared to B.Tech CSE or IT. Moreover there are some programs run by IT Companies where they hire BCA students and train them. The benefit of such programs is that along with the training you also get a chance to do your Masters Degree. These schemes are very beneficial as they provide best of both the worlds I. e Industry Experience as well as Masters Degree.

Hello Hizabi Girl, you have completed your diploma in in IT engineering. Based on this you can not only seek admission for graduation in engineering but can seek admission directly into second year of four year degree course of engineering. This is called as lateral admission. Many states have conferred equivalent to 12th recognition for diploma holders. You need to obtain this from the institute from which you are doing diploma or you have completed diploma. Based on this you can seek admission for BCA also. Best wishes to you.

If you are from a science background and want your career in computer Science, please do B.Tech CS instead of B.Sc. Hons CS!
There is no value of B.Sc. Hons CS eventually you will have to do M.Sc. Or MCA. Companies prefer B.Tech students over B.Sc/BCA/MCA/M.Sc students. Even if you get a job, the package will be low. After B.Sc. You will not be eligible for GATE. Now, if you are from a commerce background then do BCA instead of B.Sc. CS as it will give you more practical knowledge!
All the best!

I won't give a list here. But I would suggest always aim for high. The colleges :
IITs. NITs. BITS Pilani
BIT Mesra
IIIT ( Indian institute ) avoid new IIITs
IIIT ( International institute) Hyderabad, Bangalore (Dual Degree ) are the best. These list are the best. No other colleges can beat these colleges as they are the brand names. Always aim for the central funded government colleges like the ones mentioned above. Though I have listed some private colleges but they are the best one can say.
Good luck.
