Although the usual admission process of getting into a BCA programme involves a merit-based selection process, some of the top government and private universities still prefer conducting respective BCA entrance exams. The difficulty level of BCA entrance exams in India ranges from moderate to tough. But the preparation is manageable with consistent effort. For the students who have a non-science background, the math-intensive sections can present a higher challenge, though dedicated practice and understanding the syllabus can help to score well.

The colleges may usually need you to pay an admission fee at the time of admission; other than that, you either need to pay a fee for a full semester or a full year. It is totally up to you if you want to pay the course fee for the whole BCA course duration in one go. It is very common for colleges to allow fee payment in installments. So, no you don't need to pay the whole BCA course fee at the time of admission. Though fee payment guidelines vary greatly depending on the college's policies and whether it's a private, government, or open university.
