MCA after BCA is equal to B.tech degree so don't be worried if you don't go through with a B.Tech degree. As an alumnus of LPU, I feel proud to answer this question. I was a student in the B.Tech CSE of 2012 batch, the knowledge that I gained while my course duration has helped me a lot in shaping my career. I am currently working as an Application Development Analyst in Accenture, Noida. To begin with, LPU provides a lot of options in engineering only. It is one of the most highlighted courses. It has B.Tech and B.Tech (Hons) courses. B.Tech (Hons. ). With time, they had introduced my new programs considering in mind the change occurring in technology. The main concern of every student and their parents is the job and LPU fulfills that requirement. According to the placement data of 2019-20 LPU has given jobs to 90% of their students appearing in the interview. Even in 2020-21 placement record was up to 72% considering the lockdown situation and rising cases of corona patients, LPU has delivered its promise. All my batch mates were working in reputed companies in India as well as abroad. If someone is planning their career in engineering, then I would suggest LPU. It will take care of your dreams and help you fly high.

Punjab University doesn't have BCA course of its own, you can get admission to colleges which are affiliated with PU such as SD college, DAV College etc. which have BCA course. Secondly, the requirements for BCA for these colleges are bit different , but here is the requirements of SD college. Other colleges will have somehow the same criteria. As mentioned below mathematics should be there in your matriculation. Student having maths and computer science in their 12th do have privilege.
i) 10 +2 in any discipline with at least 50% marks and passed Mathematics as one of the subject at Matric level or ii) Any other examination with 50 % marks, recognized by the Syndicate as equivalent to
iii) 10 % weightage each subject who has done +2 with Math, Stat, Computer Science, computer Application, Information Technology.
iv) 20% weightage in total to those students who studied (Mathematics/statistics) & (Computer Science, Computer Application, Information Technology or Information system) at +2 level be given.

I would suggest you to choose Asian School of Business as ASB has identified itself as a brand, and is among the best colleges for BCA. The institute is UGC approved, NAAC accredited and affiliated to CCS University. BCA students receive 6 additional diplomas/certifications which are in collaboration with the, Career Launcher, NIIT, AAFT, etc. , whereas BCA International includes a ten-day fully paid international residential workshop and certification from the University of Southern California u2013 School of Cinematic Arts, Los Angeles, USA. The institute has its placement cell with 200+ companies connect providing 100% placement and internship assistance (national and international).
