If you didn't had CS or IP in 10+2 then you wouldn't face much problems in programming. As in BCA you'll get to study programming languages from the beginning. So, it doesn't matter that much if you have studied programming or not in BCA. But you can face some problems in mathematics. As mathematics of BCA is totally dependent on Maths of 10+2. So, you'll need to clear your basics to be able to understand mathematics in BCA. You'll get to study basics in first 2 semesters of BCA. So don't worry that much but you'll have to put your efforts into it. If you want to learn programming languages which you will be studying in your BCA course

Yes, If you want to go with CS either you can take B.Sc in CS or BCA. But, you shouldn't stop with UG, since it's only 3 year degree in order to get placed with high packages you need to continue with Masters like MCA.

Jain University has 4 specializations in BCA course.
IOT, Cloud Technology and Information Security, Cloud Technology and Mobile Application, Mobile Application and Information Security. All of these specializations are in demand and have a huge scope in future. IOT and Cloud Technology are best options to choose! You can choose any of these two according to your interest.

Generally, B.Tech-IT/Computer Science and MCA graduates are recruited by IT firms for the role of Software Engineer. In order to start a career in the IT field, just BCA might not fetch you the same package as that an MCA or B.Tech candidate may get. But, it also depends on your skills and knowledge. If you take up value added courses in certain technologies or languages, which are of high demand in the job market, and if your coding skills are excellent, you can land in your dream job with BCA as well! PIET is the good college in Haryana.
Faculty is very experienced (most of them are Ph.D. holders/some are GATE qualified).
Most importantly, all are very friendly in nature and are always ready to help you, study environment is very good there. But, placements are not up to the mark, only four students were selected out of 63 students. Companies which visited the college are also not putting much efforts to test the students. Meritorious students get selected. The average salary offered to the students was INR. 3.2 LPA. Placement cell is present, and it advises students on how to secure jobs.
