For B.Sc, Hindustan College of Arts and Science is better than Bharath Institute of Higher Education and Research. For some programmes, the Hindustan College has a strong placement history with reputable businesses. In general, HICAS tuition is a little bit more than BIHER tuition. No, the university does not accept GATE or any other entrance exam score. Admission to M.Tech course is purely based on merit. Bharath University shortlists candidates for M.Tech based on their score in the last qualifying exam. BIHER releases a merit list announcing the names of selected aspirants. The shortlisted aspirants are called for counselling and document verification round. Aspirants need to bring the documents proving their eligibility for verification. In case a candidate is unable to submit his or her document or could not provide his or her eligibility will not be granted admission. Once, the admission is granted, aspirants need to pay a total fee of INR 2 Lacs to confirm their seat in the university. The fee might include, components other than the tuition fee. After payment of the fee, the seat is confirmed in the university.

 Candidates must pass BE/ BTech or its equivalent exam approved by UGC/ AICTE in an appropriate branch with at least 60% aggregate or equivalent CGPA  to apply for the M.Tech course. Aspirants need to fulfil the eligibility requirement before applying for the M.Tech course. M.Tech is available in various specialisations, namely Information Technology, Defence Technology, Embedded Systems, Power Electronics & Drives, Embedded Systems, Computer Science Engineering, etc. Eligibility of all the M.Tech specialisation is almost same. However, for some specialisation, candidates need to hold degree in specific subjects. The documents like graduation marksheet and final scorecard must be ready with the candidates for verification process.
