IIT Bhilai uses a Fractal Academic System that includes continuous evaluation of its students, and more choices on the subject they wish to pursue outside their core area, which makes it an edge over the other 6 baby IITs established in 2016. There is no such provision for getting direct admission to any of the IITs including IIT Bhilai. Candidates willing to be admitted must meet the eligibility and selection criteria established by the institute.
