Yes, entrance exam is required for admission to some of the CSVTU Bhilai courses. Candidates need to pass JEE Main or CGPET for admission to BTch programme. National-level entrance exams such as ATMA, MAT, XAT, CAT, CMAT or GMAT is required for MBA programmes. The university also considers GATE, GPAT, NIMCET, etc. for admission to specific courses.

IIT JAM is the accepting exam for IIT Bhilai for MSc admissions. The Cutoff for been concluded after release of 5 rounds. The Cutoff ranks were released for MSc in Chemistry, MSc in Mathematics & Computing and MSc in Physics. For MSc in Mathematics & Computing and MSc in Physics, the Last round closing ranks were 594 and 803, respectively, for the General AI category candidates.

The IIT Bhilai Jam Cutoff 2024 has been released for Round 2. The most competitive course was M.Sc in Mathematics and Computing, with the Cutoff of 511, with the General AI category candidates. For the OBC AI category candidates, the Cutoff stood at 666.
If the Cutoff rank is more than 511, there is no scope for admission to IITs for M.Sc in Mathematics and Computing.

To apply for admission at IIT Bhilai, candidates must apply through the official website of respective accepting entrance exams and fill out the application form in online mode. IIT Bhilai admission to most of the courses is entrance-based. Further, for admission to PhD course, candidates must apply on the official website of IIT Bhilai.
Note: For MTech, the qualifying candidates have to further apply for COAP and then apply on the official website of IIT Bhilai to proceed to confirm their admission. The Application fee of 100 INR is applicable for SC/ST/PwD/female candidates and 200 INR is applicable for other candidates.
