The Rungta Group of Institutions is an eminent and well-recognized group of institutes that offer programs in multiple streams. The Institute is UGC and AICTE approved. It has even achieved the AICTE-CII Gold Category. R1 Group is also recognised by bodies like NBA, PCI, NIRF, ARIIA, NCTE, DTE, SCERT among others.
Rungta College, Bhilai is affiliated with the Chhattisgarh Swami Vivekanand Technical University (CSVTU) and Hemchand Yadav University (HYU) for degree courses.

Candidates applying to Rungta Group of Institutions are asked to visit the admissions portal. Upon visiting the official portal and registering themselves, the applicants will be required to fill in their personal and academic details.
Upon submitting the form and paying the one-time application fee, the candidate's form would be assessed by the Institute administration for admission. After successful selection, applicants would be prompted to check their student dashboard for the Offer Letter of admission.

Based on available information securing admission to the computer Science and engineering (CSE) branch at Bhilai Institute of Technology (BIT) Bhilai with a JEE Main rank of 124,251 as a general category candidate appears challenging. So, It is unlikely to secure a seat in the CSE branch at BIT Bhilai with this rank.

In the IIT Bhilai placements 2024, the overall average package stood at INR 13 LPA .The average M.Tech package for the year 2024-25 is not given in the institute website. The placement cell at IIT Bhilai also known as Center for Career Planning and Services (CCPS) organises a training and placement programme every year. The programme includes campus placements for internships and graduate placements. The Summer Internship programme usually commences from May-July, while the winter internships usually start in December. Meanwhile, the graduates placement drive starts from September annually. Various training sessions are organised for students to gain industrial exposure through interaction with trained experts.
