Hello Somya, Your question is relevant for many students who are completing their A levels from IGCSE, I would like to share that there are a whole lot of options to choose from. These days Liberal Education offered at universities allow students to take a combination of courses from across disciplines, and a lot of students are opting for the same these days. IILM University Gurugram, Flame University offer some exciting combinations. It is interesting to note that students take papers from Journalism, Media and Communication while studying BBA or B.Com (Hons) to explore jobs in marketing or communication in media or advertising for instance. Alternatively they might study papers from Entrepreneurship while pursuing a B.Tech CS & IT to explore options in possibly starting one's own digital business / e-commerce. The eligibility criteria varies across different universities/courses and so it is better if you check the websites for any entrance test/interview round that the university is holding. The eligibility criteria of B.Tech Dairy Technology of NDRI, Karnal is given below for reference only. Eligibility criteria : The eligibility for admission is 10+2 or its equivalent examination with Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and English from a Board/University recognised by the Institute. Only those candidates who have obtained at least 50% marks or equivalent G. P. A. in the aggregate are eligible for admission to B.Tech. (Dairy Technology). The requirement of marks in the case of candidates belonging to Scheduled Cast/Tribe and PH is 40% or equivalent GPA. The Candidates appearing for 10+2 examination can also apply subject to his/her producing 10+2 passing certificate on the date of counselling. Admission criteria : The admissions to B.Tech. (DT) programme are done through an All India Combined Entrance Examination conducted by the Education Division of the Indian Council of Agricultural Research, New Delhi. The subjects for the entrance examination are physics, chemistry and mathematics. The syllabus for these subjects is of 10+2 standard. So from above Biology is not necessary in 12th for getting admission in B.Tech (DT). .
