B.Tech biotechnology is a higher degree in comparison to B.Sc biotechnology. Therefore, B.Tech graduates have better career scope and opportunities in comparison to B.Sc graduates.

Career scope of Biotechnology in India is good enough.
But the opportunities in industrial sector is less than Research Sector.
If you like Research Field, then Biotechnology will be the right choice for you.
You can also get chance to work in IIT's , IISc, CSIR Labs. which is a dream of many Science students.
Biotechnological Techniques are useful in - Environment Conservation, Health care, Medicines, Agriculture, Industrial Research & Development.

The career scope in science field is very good. There are many jobs available in this field for you. You can get into research field as it is one of the best option.
If you pursue M.Sc in forensic science, then you can also try to get a job in CBI or other police services and crime branch
If you pursue M.Sc biotechnology, then you can get into medical field and work as clinical research associate. A bio technologist may find jobs in various quarters in India. Drug and pharmaceutical research, chemicals, environment control, waste management, energy, food processing and bio-processing industries, tanning industries.
