Unfortunately, that's well above the closing ranks for B.Tech Biotechnology at NITs, which typically cap around 30,000–50,000 .So, no NIT is available for Biotechnology with your rank. Mechanical also would be out of reach. These branches close much earlier in counselling rounds.

With a CRL of 6 Lacs and OBC rank of 2.5 lakh, it's honestly quite tough to get Biotech or Environmental at DTU. Cutoffs are usually much lower, even for OBC. You might have better chances in spot rounds or try other state colleges.

Hello Samriddhi Shrivastava, there are many colleges in India in Government sphere, offering BSc in Bio Technology. Almost every state has some fine government colleges. If only you had mentioned the state in which you are interested, could have provided names. At the national level, few names that come to my mind are Institute of Chemical Technology Mumbai, BHU, Anna University etc. This is an emerging field of study with lots of potential for work in research and development.
