Interdisciplinary learning is very important in biotechnology. At Chandigarh University, students do not only study biology, they also explore engineering ideas, mathematics, and technology. Labs like DNA technology, microbiology, and fermentation give them a chance to use concepts from different sciences. International tie-ups with more than 200 universities in biotechnology also help them connect with experts from many fields. With conferences and symposiums, they get to listen and share with people of different areas. This creates a broad vision and gives them better problem solving skills.

Hostel life is really very amazing for students of Biotechnology. The university has separate hostels for boys and girls with modern facilities. The hostel mess serves fresh food and the mess time table is also so perfect and that too on rotation basis and every type of food is available. There is internet, a music room, a common room with a TV, salon services and a reading room. The best part is hostels are near the academic buildings, making it easy to reach classes on time. In terms of safety and security, all the parents need not to worry as there are CCTV cameras, guards, and proper entry and exit rules and formalities.

It depends on which state you want to travel for the future studies. If you want to do in West Bengal, then Google it and find the best college for biotechnology or else ask your elder siblings if they know about it.
