For a person who wants to enrol for an M.Sc. in Biotechnology at Calcutta University, the enrollment is done on the basis of the marks obtained in a bachelor's Degree, it is merit-based. At Calcutta University there is no entrance exam for pursuing M.Sc. in Biotechnology. However, there are only eleven seats available.

The total tuition fee for College of Biotechnology, DUVASU MSc is INR 2.8 lakh. This information is sourced from official website/ sanctioning body and is subject to change. Aspirants must pay the course fee at the time of admission to confirm their seat in the college. Besides, candidates also need to pay a non-refundable application processing fee of INR 1,800 for MSc programme. Aspirants need to pay the application fee in the start to register for a course.

Aspirants need to pass bachelor's degree in any branch of Life Sciences/ Biological Sciences (Botany, Zoology, Biotechnology, Biochemistry, Microbiology, Genetics and Biomedical Sciences) with a minimum of 6.0 out of 10 CGPA to apply for MSc course. Candidates belonging to OBC and EWS category need a CGPA of 5.5 out of 10.

Yes, College of Biotechnology DUVASU offers two-year MSc programme divided into four semesters. DUVASU conducts PGEE to shortlist candidates for the MSc course. Besides, aspirants must also pass a minimum of bachelor's degree in any branch of Life Sciences/ Biological Sciences (Botany, Zoology, Biotechnology, Biochemistry, Microbiology, Genetics and Biomedical Sciences) to apply for MSc.

College of Biotechnology, DUVASU admission to BTech is based on Undergraduate Entrance Exam or UGEE score. DUVASU conducts UGEE in nine centres. UGEE comprises of 200 multiple-choice questions. There will be 50 questions each from Physics and Chemistry and 100 questions from Biology or Mathematics. Once selected, candidates need to participate in the counselling round.
