If you want to join a course in biotechnology you must have a background in Science, that is Physics or agriculture, chemistry and biology at the intermediate level can join for B.Tech. Yes, maths is compulsory for B.Sc biotech.
The course needs candidates who have passed the 12th standard examination of the Maharashtra Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Examination or its equivalent examination with Mathematics as one of the subjects.

Hi Sawani,
M.Sc. Zoology is a postgraduate course in the study of animal behaviour, structure and classification. A candidate has to be a B.Sc. Graduate in Medical and Allied Medical Sciences/ Biosciences/ Life sciences with minimum 50% marks in aggregate from a recognised university in order to be eligible for this course. You can pursue M.Sc. Honors in zoology through distance education from Annamalai University Distance Education.

First see your priority like if you want to enjoy city life then go to Bangalore and if you want to experience college life and you surely want to learn something come to SRM Chennai. The reasons are as follows
1) just because it does not offer you better placement it will help you to expand as an true engineer it gives you immense amount of opportunity within the campus only.
2) BMSCE may be among the top ten colleges of Karnataka but SRM is among top 5 colleges in India. So choice is yours?

Hi Priyanka,
Unfortunately no the cutoff's for biotech tend to be pretty low. But you can try to get admission in many colleges of IPU or try somewhere else.

You need to have 50% and above for applying to the college. You need to have Physics, Mathematics, Biology as mandatory subjects.
