Advantages of doing B.Sc Biotechnology
The major advantage of doing a B.Sc Course in this subject is that the course duration is short, when compared to a BE /B.Tech Programme. B.Sc course takes 3 years to complete, whereas BE /B.Tech. Programme takes 4 years. Another advantage is relatively low saturation level in this field. From facts and figures, it is quite evident that B.Sc Biotechnology is not a very popular professional course among class 12th Science students. Biotechnology depends on many basic laboratory techniques of microbiology, while further development of microbiology is quite dependent on biotechnological methods, it is quite common to share the same job opportunities. Having said that having a Biotechnology degree opens up many more doors, in various fields like industrial processes, management jobs while microbiology jobs are more research oriented.
