NITs are good. IISERs are even better (you can stay & play in the same institution all the way to your doctorate completion). The B.Tech biotechnology degree is overrated and is merely a halfway credential. All biotechnology courses are a mish-must. Invest deeply in basic sciences. You can swim more easily in the applied biotech jobs or internships or in entrepreneurship.

The test will be based on the medical biotechnology taught in Bachelor's degree. There aren't specific details. 40 seats are available. So, best of luck. The test is on 13th June.
