Biotechnology is now a days being up a top branch you can go for further studies like M.Tech else you can go for a job after B.Tech. You will have many opportunities in labs medical pharmacy industry, etc. Hope this got cleared up, good luck!

There are very few biotechnology companies in India. So there is not much demand for B.Tech graduates in the biotech industry. Most companies look for M.Tech or higher as an applicant's qualification.
This year, TCS recruited a couple of our B.Tech 4th year students for the post of Business Analyst. Apart from that, no other company came for recruitment. So the placement scenario is very poor.
The course of B.Tech (Biotechnology) is mostly research-oriented. The faculty consists of researchers renowned all over India. Many of the students opt for higher studies in Biotech, or change the field via exams like SSC, UPSC, and CAT, o

DTU is a prestigious college. It is the only college in Delhi with the highest placement record for biotechnolgy.
The cutoff for biotech in DTU for a general student was 35567 last year.

Only about 3-4 college offer biotech.
However, the fees for biotech per annum will not exceed by INR 70,000.
