This is a very interesting question which you have posted, I am not an expert on either field, but would like to give my input.
In a recent tweet, Bill Gates has suggested, that students should go for Biotechnology as a career choice as it has many job opportunities worldwide.
BA Malayalam will also be a good option if you see yourself working a translator or voice-over artist.

For better career, B.Tech in biotechnology is very good. You will have joint degree.You can approach both the fields B.Tech & Biological. It will be better, if you are able to do it.

The Biotechnology programme at Thapar University is a promising alternative to the students having medical backgrounds who are otherwise desirous and preparing for MBBS/BDS programmes. B.Sc. Biotechnology or Bachelor of Science in Biotechnology is an undergraduate Biotechnology course. Biotechnology is a field of applied biology that involves the use of living organisms and bioprocesses in engineering, technology, medicine and other fields requiring by-products. You have many options:
1. B.Sc zoology, B.Sc botany, B.Sc Physiology, B.Sc anthropology - all these subjects are in colleges, and biology is taught in schools aswell. So, you have a huge career option open for you, as a teacher or lecturer.
2. You can opt for B.Sc Microbiology, which is an upcoming field and also has lots of scope in research.

N.Pharma will give you a very good scope. Many of the biotechnology graduates ultimately land up in pharmaceutical companies.
