No, for biotechnology, you have to study physics chemistry and biology if you want to study B.Sc however, to study B.Tech in Biotechnology, you do not need to have biology. Following is the eligibility criteria for Manipal B tech biotech
Pass in 10+2, A Level, IB, American 12th grade or equivalent with Physics, Mathematics and English as compulsory subjects along with Chemistry or Biotechnology or Biology or any technical vocational subjects as optional with a minimum of 50% marks taken together in Physics, Mathematics and any one of the optional subjects.

B.Sc in biotechnology means that you have opt some more subjects during your graduation but B.Sc in biotechnology honors means that you have only studied this subject only.

Eligibility criteria is as follows:
Minimum 60 percentage in class 10th and 12th aggregate and minimum 60 percentage in PCM or PCB.
Plus, you need to appear for Amity entrance exam.
