No, it is not necessary for students to have studied the Humanities stream to pursue the BMM programme. Students with good verbal and written communication skills, an interest in the field of news and events, critical and analytical bent of mind are all that need to be suitable for studying BMM. Candidates' performance on the admission exam determines whether they will be accepted into one of India's top BMM universities. To be admitted to the BMM programme,  applicants must successfully pass the entrance exams provided by the universities.

Before applying for the course, students need to note that they have to look at the eligibility requirements. The following are a few of the requirements for admission to BMM course in India:

  • The applicant must have completed Class 12 or an equivalent exam from a recognised board in either the Arts,  Science, or Commerce streams.
  • The student need to have scored at least 50%.
