IKGPTU is considered one of the average college.the B.Tech course of four years has expenses of 3.42 L which is not too much fee as compared to other engineering private colleges so it depends on person to person as it also gives average package of 4.5 lpa.

Every thing is well maintained and used regularly. Academics are also good I studied B.Tech it from this college. Teachers are exceptionally skilled and helpful for students. Curriculum is up to date and practical teaching is also involved in curriculum.The eligibility for the HPCET (Himachal Pradesh Common Entrance Test) in 2024 is expected to include a minimum age of 17 years, Indian nationality, and no limit on the number of attempts. Educational qualifications vary based on the specific course applied .

Qualify for the National Scholarship Test. 10% to 100% of tuition fees will be covered under the Scholarship. INR 20,000 to INR 28,000 per annum. INR 85,000 per month and INR 7 Lakhs Per annum Research grant.The scholarship amount is ?2500 per month for boys and ?3000 per month for girls. The scholarship amount is paid annually to the selected students for a period of one to five years as per the duration of the courses approved by the concerned regulatory bodies.

Seats will be filled on the basis of scores of national level entrance test first, next on the basis of HPCET scores and if the seats still remain vacant, then on the basis of marks of the qualifying exam.The university conducts HPCET for admission to its various programmes. Himachal Pradesh Technical University accepts the scores of JEE Main, GATE, GPAT, CAT, MAT, CMAT and other national-level management exams. The total number of faculty members in the university is 2.

HPTU Hamirpur will select the candidates on the basis of merit scores of CAT/MAT/CMAT/HPCET/graduation. Seats will be filled on the basis of scores of national level entrance test first, next on the basis of HPCET scores and if the seats still remain vacant, then on the basis of marks of the qualifying exam.Admission for B.Tech is possible only through the entrance exams like VITEE, JEE Main, JEE Advanced, WBJEE, etc. It is important to clear the entrance exam for the students with good results to get admissions to a suitable college.

Student must have Minimum score ofJEE Mains is 60 percentile if anyone is from another state. If anyone is the resident then minimum score in JEE Mains should be 50 percentile. Also student must pass the 10+2 examination with minimum score of 50 percent marks.And for B.Tech (lateral )candidates with at least 45 Percent marks in diploma
