The eligibility for scholarship is only through admission by giving the KCET entrance exam. It is a scheme for Karnataka students, and the division is based on the ranks secured. KCET rank from 1 to 5,000 will be awarded with 100% scholarship for tution as well as hostel and transport. KCET rank from 5,001 to 10,000 will be awarded 100% scholarship for tuition and 50% on hostel and transport. KCET rank from 10,001 to 20,000 will be awarded 50% scholarship on tuition fees and the rest will be the same. For admission in engineering programs, the candidates must have passed their 10+2 or equivalent examination in relevant subjects with at least 60% of marks in the qualifying examination at 10+2 / Intermediate level and admission through common entrance tests/competitive examinations conducted by national bodies like JEE/State Common Entrance Test/ Qualifying Examination on merit.

The B.Tech Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) programme at BIT Mesra Jaipur has around 60 to 70 students.
However there are certain factors which determine the number of seats available for the required programme.
1. Faculty available
2. The NIRF ranking
The number of seats intake are comparatively less as it enables students to have a good student-teacher ratio and enhances the learning experiences of the students.
It is advisable for the students to look at the official website for the same.

For admissions to the BTech programme at IIIT Delhi in 2023, there were two primary tracks to consider: admissions through the Joint Admission Counselling and admissions through the IIIT Delhi admission process.
Common eligibility criteria for both tracks:
- Passing Class 12 from a recognised board with a minimum aggregate of 70% marks in five subjects. These subjects must include Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics.
- Securing at least 70% marks in Mathematics specifically.
There were however, some nuances in the selection process:
- JAC Admissions considered scores from the JEE Main exam. Competitive scores were crucial for securing a seat.

The tuition fees for B.Tech at BIT Mesra Jaipur is same as that of BIT Patna. For the 2023-2024, the tuition fees has ranged approximtely INR 2.5 Lacs per annum.
For BIT Patna also, the fee was nearly the same ranging from INR 2 Lacs to INR 2.5 Lakhs per annum.
The hostel fees of BIT Mesra ranges from INR 70,000 to INR 1 Lacs per annum. Other fees, such as examination fees, library fees, are also included. The same goes for BIT Patna as well.

To get into NIT Jalandhar for BTEch, you must have passed Class 12 with a minimum aggregate of 75% marks (for the general category) in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics.
However, NIT Jalandhar considers scores from JEE Main for BTech admissions. Aim for a high score in JEE Main, as this is the primary factor influencing selection. Based on your JEE Main score, you'll be assigned a rank. After that, you need to participate in Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA) counselling process. During counselling, you'll fill out your preferred choices for colleges and BTech specializations based on your rank and seat availability.

The B.Tech degree is divided into different departments. The computer Science department excels in the most placed students with the highest salary upto INR 15 to 16L per annum. The average package for B.Tech students is around INR 7L per annum which is decent.
