IIIT Ranchi offers B.Tech for four years, which is eight semesters and offers specialisation in Computer Science and Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, Computer Science and Engineering (with Specialisation Data Science and Artificial Intelligence), and a few more. IIIT Ranchi B.Tech admissions are merit based. The total seat intake of B.Tech at IIIT Ranchi is 270.

Indian Institute of Information Technology (IIIT) Ranchi application fee is around INR 1000 and for SC/ST/PWD/Women candidates it is INR 500.  To apply for BTech at IIIT Ranchi, candidates need to Apply for JEE Main, where the application fee for  male and female General candidates is INR 1000 and INR 800, respectively. Also candidates need to apply for JoSAA Counselling where an application fee of INR 625 for boys and INR 325 for girls must be paid.

Yes, the admission dates are out for IIIT Ranchi BTech admission. The candidate can refer to the JEE Main 2026 dates. The institute will release the 'Physical Reporting' dates for the final BTech admission. 

NTA has announced the JEE Main 2026 exam dates. As per the schedule, the session 1 exam will be held from January 21, 2026 to January 30, 2026 and session 2 will be held from April 2, 2026 to April 9, 2026.

For admission to BTech at IIIT Ranchi, candidates must participate in the JEE Main entrance exam. IIIT Ranchi admission is currently closed for both BTech programmes with the registration process of JEE Main. The institute accepts JEE Main scores for admission to BTech. Candidates must apply through the JoSAA counseling for seat allocation at the Institution.

No, direct admission is not available for BTech at IIIT Ranchi. To get admission in IIIT Ranchi, candidates must score a good rank in JEE Main and apply through JoSAA . Candidates will be able to make their choices online for Institute selection. Select IIIT Ranchi as the preferred institute from the list of Institutes provided. This is followed by the online seat allocation process by JoSAA.
