The University achieved 81% placements in the academic year 2024-25. The overall highest and average package offered was INR 24.61 and INR 7.86 LPA.

Candidates who have passed Class 12 with PCM /PMB/ PCB with at least 60% aggregate can apply for BTech Biotechnology, Biotechnology w/s in Genetic Engineering, Biotechnology w/s in Regenerative Medicine and Biomedical Engineering.

SRM Institute of Technology Kattankulathur campus offers a four-year BTech divided into eight semesters. The university offers BTech across 40 specialisations along with part-time BTech course in four specialisations. Admission to BTech is subject to a valid score obtained by the students in Class 12 and SRMJEEE (conducted by the deemed-to-be university).
