Candidates are required to apply through the JEE Main and JoSAA for admission to the BTech programme. Candidate who successfully get sadmission through JoSAA must submit the below mentioned documnets in the IIIT Trichy's google form:
- Downloaded copy of Provisional Allotment letter
- Proof of Institute balance fee paid
- Proof of hostel fee paid to the Institut
- Aadhaar card/ Passport/ Any government ID proof
- Downloaded Score Card with rank of JEE (Main)-2023 issued by NTA
- Transfer Certificate / leaving certificate from school last studied
- Mark sheet of qualifying examination (12th Mark Sheet)
- Class X (High School) Board Certificate as proof o

Yes, JoSAA has released dates for BTech counselling for admission to IIIT Trichy. The JoSAA 2024 registration process had started on June 10, 2024. Candidates have to go through six rounds of JoSAA counselling. Candidates must regularly check the official JoSAA website for the latest updates and announcements regarding the 2024 counselling schedule. Yes, JEE Main 2024 dates for admission to IIIT Trichy BTech programme are out now. NTA will conduct the JEE Main 2024 exam in two sessions in January and April. The exact date of the exam for both sessions are announced in the notification. Candidates can check here JEE Main 2024 dates and the schedule of all events of the examination including application form, correction, admit card, exam, answer key, and result here.

The seat intake for the Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech) programme at the West Bengal University of Animal and Fishery Sciences (WBUAFS) is 44 seats. The reservations of seats for this programme are as follows:
- SC-22%, ST-6%, OBC-A-10%, OBC-B-7%, ICAR Nominee-15%, Person with Disability (PwD)-5%*
- GTA- 01* seat in each course.
- GTA & PwD seat @ 5% (i.e., 02) will be on a horizontal basis.
The selected candidates will be placed in the appropriate category, i.e., General, SC, ST, OBC-A, and OBC-B, to which they belong.
