Qualifying entry requirement: WBJEE and JEE (main). Admission to second year of B.Tech programme (Lateral Entry) is based on qualifying JELET. So JEE required for B Tech at NSHM Durgapur.
For direct admission :- Candidates who have Passed/Appeared 10th standard with English, Physical Science & Mathematics with at least 35% marks (without additional subject) in aggregate without rounding up and required valid JEXPO Rank (subject to approval of WBSCTE).

Not getting into IIT Gandhinagar or any other premium IIT should not be considered an end to a student’s career. While IIT Gandhinagar can give an average salary of INR 19.60 LPA to its 2023 placements batch, can IIT Gandhinagar guarantee the same for each and every student of the batch? The answer is no. What truly matters is a student’s dream to pursue a career in Engineering and as long as they are ready to work on their learning and are focused towards achieving their goal, they must not feel defeated in case of not getting into IIT Gandhinagar.

Yes, the CUEE exam is held in a single day and a slot window for all the applicants, irrespective of the mode and the language of the exam. The exam will be held on the 30th of every month from December 2025 to August 2026. The exam can be taken as a remote proctored exam.

Placement for B.Tech are quite impressive in School of Engineering and Technology.
The average placement package offer in year 2023 was 6LPA INR.
The lowest placement package offer was 4.2LPA INR Given by TCS.
The highest placement package was given by Infosys which was 12LPA INR .
This years placement drive brief statistics data has been released on official college website.
The Percentage of students successfully placed were 82%.
But the students justify that the unplaced students opt for higher degree or gone with startup.

Both have good placements at the School of Engineering and Technology, since B.Tech has a vast opportunity option and the ECE Branch would make more sense.
As with the ECE branch one can conqueror not even programming jobs but also the electronics sector.
