NO — you are NOT eligible for lateral entry (direct 2nd year) in ICT Mumbai.

  • ICT Mumbai does NOT offer lateral entry admission into B.Tech programs (including Food Engineering).

  • Even if you have a Diploma in Food Technology (like from Parul University), you cannot directly join 2nd year B.Tech there.

  • Admission is only through:

    • JEE Main

    • or MHT CET

  • You must apply for first-year B.Tech, not lateral entry.

Devi Ahilya Vishwavidyalaya, Takshashila Campus cutoff 2025 was released via MPBE entrance exam for admission to the B.E. course. For the General AI category students, the last round cutoff range was between 33433 and 82527 for B.E. admission. Considering the lowest cutoff rank of 33433, B.E. in Computer Science and Engineering turned out to be the most competitive branch for admission. In the first round, the cutoff rank for the same branch was 42100.

Admissions to engineering courses like BTech are based on the score of JEE Mains followd by DTE Madhya Pradesh Counselling. It can be challeging for the students to get into the BTech course due to the high cutoff & lower number of seats.

Yes, GITAM Deemed to be University, Bengaluru BTech students can avail multiple merit-based scholarships as well as need-based and special category scholarships. These scholarships are usually offered for the first year of the BTech course however, candidates with good scores can continue getting the benefits of these scholarships in the later years as well.

GITAM Deemed to be University, Bengaluru BTech in CSE course fees is INR 14.24 lakh. The aforementioned fees is the tuition fees for the BTech in CSE course which is the same for all its sub specialisations as well.

Candidates may need to pay other fees such as hostel fees, caution deposit and other fees which are yet to be revealed.

No, candidates cannot apply for GITAM Deemed to be University, Bengaluru BTech admissions in offline mode. The reason for this is because the registration of its accepted entrance exams cannot be done in offline mode.

Candidates need to go to the registration portal of their chosen exam to apply for BTech at GITAM Deemed to be University, Bengaluru.

The GITAM Deemed to be University, Bengaluru BTech admissions are scheduled to remain open until Mar 25th, 2026. The aforementioned date is the deadline for GAT registrations as well. Thus, candidates who do not have a JEE Mains or KCET score need to apply for the GAT before the aforementioned date.

Yes, GITAM Deemed to be University, Bengaluru BTech admissions are currently open for the academic year 2026. The registrations for the GAT 2026 have begun and are scheduled to remain open until the last week of March.

GAT is scheduled to be conducted at the end of March and the results will be declared near the beginning of April.
