SASTRA considers both 12th board scores and JEE Main scores for admissions, but JEE performance is a significant factor. With 88% in boards, you have a good chance of getting an A+ grade, but a 60% in JEE (which translates to roughly a low percentile) is a concern. 

For BTech Computer Science, it's INR 30,000 per semester, and the same for mechanical engineering.

IUST has not provided distinct placement statistics to facilitate a comparison between BTech CSE and BTech ECE. Therefore, students are encouraged to visit the official University website for the relevant details. The University has not yet published the placement statistics for 2023. Nevertheless, the NIRF report for 2023 has been released. According to this report, during the 2022 placements at the Islamic University of Science and Technology, 201 BTech students secured placements. The median salary package for BTech graduates was INR 4.8 LPA.
