Students who receive provisional admission offers to MAKAUT BTech courses must present the following documents at the time of reporting:
- Provisional/pass certificate of the last qualifying examination
- Class 10 marksheet
- Class 12 marksheet
- Transfer Certificate
- Date of Birth Certificate
- Conduct Certificate Caste Certificate for SC/ST/OBC students
- Income Certificate for SC/ST/OBC students
- Migration Certificate
- Passport-size photographs

MAKAUT has over 15+ affiliated colleges offering BTech courses. This amounts to an intake of 38,321 seats for the BTech programme. Students must note that the aforementioned seat intake is as per official sources. However, it is subject to change. Hence, it is indicative.

MAKAUT offers BTech courses via various affiliated colleges. Some of the colleges with high intake are Heritage Institute of Technology, JIS College of Engineering, Sur Institute of Technology and Sports Complex, and others. Out of all the affiliated colleges and institutes, Techno International New Town, has the highest intake with 1170 seats.

You'll need at least 55% in both your 10th and 12th grade. JEE Mains is key for counseling eligibility. Aim for a JEE Mains score of more than 100 marks to increase your chances of getting the IT branch. Scores below 100 might limit your options unless seats remain open.The counseling is not as organized as other colleges. Alternatively, a high board percentage could qualify you for a separate 10% counseling quota.

Manipal University Jaipur and Thapar University are both good universities, but the latter tends to rank higher in general and more particularly for the case of engineering programs. It has a stronger industry interface, research exposure, and faculty excellence that makes the latter a safer option for studying B.Tech in Biotechnology.

Considering 88 percentile in JEE Mains and also OBC category, you will be able to take admission in many colleges in Uttar Pradesh for B.Tech. HBTU Kanpur, KIET Ghaziabad, and SRM University-Delhi NCR are among those. But, as it largely varies with branch and respective college's cutoff, you should check the trends of last year of college and respective branchwise cutoffs to get a reliable idea.

They should have studied Chemistry / Biotechnology / Biology / Computer Science / Electronics as one of the optional subjects.
A minimum aggregate of 45% marks (40% for SC/ST/OBC students from Karnataka) in the above subjects is needed.
