PU MET has a total of 200 questions. For each correct attempt, one mark is awarded and one mark is deducted for an incorrect attempt. There is no deduction of marks for unanswered questions. Therefore, the total marks of PU MET is 200. Candidates must choose the questions to solve very carefully and smartly as they will not be awarded marks for incorrect answers. If they are not sure of the correct answer, they should leave the question instead of taking a chance as there is no negative marking.

The PU MET exam consists mostly of objective-type questions, such as multiple-choice questions (MCQs), and there may not be subjective questions included in the exam. The exam pattern typically includes sections with objective-type questions.
Each question carries one mark, and there are 200 questions spread across the six sections of the PU MET question paper. The medium of the PU MET question paper is English.

The PU MET exam syllabus is very similar to other MBA entrance exams. The PUMET syllabus is divided into six main sections:
- General Knowledge
- Economics and Business Environment Awareness
- Data Interpretation and Problem-Solving
- Numerical Ability

The PU MET syllabus is same as other MBA entrance exams, which is Data Interpretation, Reasoning, Quantitative Aptitude or Numerical Ability, English Comprehension and General Awareness, only their nomenclature is different. So, candidates preparing for PU MET has to study the same subject, topics and sub-topics that they have to study in CAT, MAT or CMAT, etc. Also, the PU MET exam has a unique section, Business Environment, but the difficulty level of this section is usually easy.

PU MET admit card will be available online on official website. Students who have successfully submitted the PU MET application form before deadline can download their PU MET admit cards. Candidate must have completed the entire PU MET application process in order to download PU MET admit card.
