Before June of the year of admission, candidates must have earned at least a three-year bachelor's degree in any discipline recognised by the UGC, the Association of Indian Universities, or the AICTE with a first class ranking (or its equivalent with 60% aggregate). Those who finish their last exams by June are also eligible to apply. Furthermore, applicants need to obtain a valid result from the IIMs' CAT exam. However, IIMs are not taken into account in UoH's MBA selection process. A full-time bachelor's degree in any discipline or an equivalent academic pursuit (10+2+3) with a minimum of 50% marks or an equivalent CGPA (47% for NC-OBC/EWS, 45% for SC/ST/DAP) is required for admission to the IIM Kashipur MBA programme. Candidates also need to have a valid GMAT score, with the exam taken no earlier than May 1, 2022, or a valid CAT-2023 score. For candidates who belong to the Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribes (ST), Non-Creamy Other Backward Class (NC-OBC), Differently Abled Person (DAP), and Economically Weaker Section (EWS), IIM Kashipur adheres to the Government of India's reservation policies.

XAT 2025 result was announced on January 17, 2025. The XAT 2025 result was announced online and candidates had to download their scorecards from the official website by using their login credentials. They had to log on to the XAT 2025 website and click on the tab indicating 'XAT scorecard'. In the new window, the candidate had to enter their application number and password to log in. As soon as they logged in, their scorecard was visible in the dashboard. Candidates had to then download it in PDF format of their XAT scorecard 2025.
