The University has not released the Calcutta University CSE average package or branch-wise placement statistics 2023 for BTech. However, as per the combined details available in the NIRF report 2024, a total of 199 students were placed during Calcutta University BTech placements 2023. The median package offered to BTech students was INR 10 LPA. Earlier, 305 BTech students were placed in 2022 and the median package stood at INR 9.20 LPA.

According to external sources, a large share of the University of Calcutta alumni is placed in the Business Development sector with a 30% share. The specific placement report for LLM is not released officially. However, the NIRF report 2023 includes the overall placement data for PG (2-year) courses. As per the report, 5,975 PG (2-year) students graduated in 2022. Out of these, 4,201 were successfully placed. The median package offered was INR 9.20 LPA. Out of 417 UG (3-year) graduates, 252 were placed during Calcutta University placements 2022. For BTech and BA LLB courses, the number of students placed was 305 and 95, respectively. The placement rate recorded for UG (3-year), BTech and BA LLB courses was 60%, 85%, and 80%, respectively. Earlier, 247 UG (3-year), 189 BTech and 96 BA LLB students were placed during 2021 placements.
