Yes, Calicut University is a part of Central Sector Scholarship Scheme of College and University students that is run by MHRD. Such a scholarship is used to assist needy students with tuition fees as well as maintenance and other needs. Eligibility criteria involves full time UG/PG course with marks of 55 percent in the previous exam. It is applied via internet at the MHRD site, as well as the university courses provide an acknowledgment cell to assist with the procedure and different sorts of scholarships.

Mahatma Gandhi University Kerala, also known as MGU Kerala or MG University is a state-level university that is recognised by the UGC and is accredited with an 'A' Grade by the NAAC.
