What have you studied in your senior secondary school? Science/Commerce or Arts? For all fields, there are various opportunities there in Canada and it is also considered an immigration friendly country as of now. You can plan to study engineering, business, economics, mathematics or sciences. It depends upon your interests and your skills.

Yes, you are eligible for Canadian Universities, but your IELTS band is not that great. You can try for some of the middle-ranked universities for courses which are not very language heavy. What are you interested in? If possible, try taking a gap year and take IELTS again, and build your profile before applying to college.

That is a question you should be asking yourself. Since you mentioned you are from non-medical, that still leaves a lot of options available for you ranging from engineering, arts, business, psychology, economics, sciences and maths just to name a few. What are you interested in? Think, read and learn about various fields before deciding.

Hi Ajeet,
GRE is necessary for most of the Canadian universities but they consider IELTS as their English standardisation examination. Apart from his GRE score, your friend will need-
-Statement of purpose, which will describe why he wants to join the programme he is applying for
-A well-drafted CV, which will contain all the necessary statistical data of his profile
-Transcripts, which will contain all of his graduation marks related grades in a single page.
-Recommendation letter, ideally from his college HOD, project guide, and teachers. Better the profile of the professor, the better his recommendation letter.
Hope this helps!
Thanks.

Choose accommodation in a way that the costs can be subsidized. As for the eligibility, entrance exam and Bachelors would be the most basic requirement. Of course check about the work experience, cut off from Bachelor studies and English language proficiency and other applicable entrance exam and interviews.
