GATE conducts English Literature exam as part of the Humanities and Social Sciences. The GATE score is very useful for English graduates who have completed a Bachelor's degree in this subject. Career options after qualifying for the GATE exams are:
1. Higher Study at IIT Madras: With a good rank in GATE, you can get admission to IIT Madras for its M.A. English course. Also, if your admission is on the basis of your GATE ranking, then you are eligible for a monthly stipend of Rs. 12,500.
2. Higher Study in Other Countries: Some foreign universities also consider GATE scores for admitting Indian students. If your GATE percentile is above 90, then you can have a chance to do MS from abroad.
3. Do a Ph.D. to become a professor: You can pursue a Ph.D. from one of the central universities of India after qualifying GATE if you have a master's in this subject. Also, since this score is valid for three years, you may pursue a master's and apply for a Ph.D. later.
4. Teaching: You can become a teacher in online channels or offline institutes with a GATE score, and your GATE score will make you stand out.
5. Management Fellowship Programme (FPM) You can become eligible for the FPM offered by IIM if you fulfill additional eligibility requirements, which are 60% in graduation and 50% in master's. You can get a monthly stipend of Rs 29,000–30,000, and later, after the fellowship, you can build a career in management.

A graduate in commerce may pursue the CFA. The CFA Institute offers the designation CFA (Chartered Financial Analyst). Based on how challenging the exam is, it is divided into three tiers. While Level II and Level III Exams are only offered in June, Level I Exam is held twice a year. Your core understanding of the finance field is essentially tested in the CFA Exam. Any graduate degree holder is qualified to take the exam. People with degrees in fields other finance are also qualified. These days, MBAs, engineers, and medical professionals who wish to work in risk management or investment banking choose to take this exam. Numerous business schools and organisations also favour applicants with certifications. Candidates who desire to pursue a master's degree in finance frequently pursue both an MBA and a CFA programme Charter. The CFA degree is accepted by investment banks and businesses worldwide in the financial services industry. Candidates looking for a career in finance and risk management will undoubtedly benefit from the CFA programme qualification. Even after receiving an MBA or while pursuing an MBA, students pursue the CFA programme Charter. To appear for each level in turn-by-turn fashion, passing all three levels could take around three years. If you don't have a background in finance, the exam preparation could be quite difficult and stressful.
