The CAT score required for IIM Sambalpur may depend on the category and section of the exam. The percentile keeps on changing from year to year. As per the cutoff data, the overall qualifying CAT percentile is 90, while the sectional cutoff is 65 for the students belonging to the General AI quota. CAT cut off for Institute of Management Studies, BHU MBA range of 94-100 percentile. The institutes have fixed admission cut-offs on the basis of overall performance of candidates in the CAT 2025 exam.  Meeting the minimum CAT cut-off is mandatory for candidates to be shortlisted for MBA admission. Candidates have to meet CAT sectional cut-off too for selection to the WAT-PI round of MBA colleges. 

IIM Sambalpur released the qualifying CAT percentile for shortlisting candidates for the first stage of admission. As per the official website, the overall CAT cutoff percentile for MBA admission at IIM Sambalpur is 90, while for the sectional cutoff, the percentile is 65 for the students belonging to the General AI quota. For other categories, the cutoff details are provided below:

*For Male candidates with one year of work experience and female candidates, the minimum overall percentile will be reduced to 85 in the General category.

IIM Amritsar and IIM Jammu both offer MBA admission based on the CAT entrance exam. The final CAT cutoff is comparatively higher for IIM Amritsar (95-96) than IIT Jammu (90) for the General AI category students. For CAT 2024, the Indian Institute of Management Indore (IIM Indore) has set distinct cutoff percentiles for several categories:

• 90 percentile for General and Economically Weaker Sections (EWS).
• 80 percentile for Non-Creamy Layer Other Backward Classes (NC-OBC)
• 60 percentile for Scheduled Castes (SC)
• 45 percentile for persons with Disabilities (PwD) and Scheduled Tribes (ST)

For candidates to be eligible for the Written Ability Test (WAT) and Personal Interview (PI), the next steps in the selection process must meet these cutoffs, which are the minimal CAT percentiles.

Manipal University offers admission to several MBA courses via its affiliated college called TAPMI Manipal. The institute accepts several national-level entrance exams, such as CAT/ XAT/ CMAT, and NMAT, for admission to the MBA/PGDM courses. During the TAPMI Manipal MBA cutoff 2023, the CAT cutoff percentile for the MBA course stood at 85 for the General AI category candidates. For the MBA in Banking and Financial Services and the MBA in Human Resources Management as well, the 2023 CAT percentile was 85. So, students preparing for MBA admission should aim to target over and above the cutoff percentile mentioned here. 

Admission to KJ Somaiya Institute of Management (KJSIM) typically requires a score of 80 percentile or higher, depending on the entrance exam and application year. For 2024, expected cutoff percentiles are: CAT—84 to 90 (2022 was 86), CMAT—98 (up from 95), XAT—around 71 (2022 was 84), and NMAT—expected score of 224. KJSIM offers three MBA programs, including specializations in Healthcare and Sports Management. Applicants can use scores from national-level entrance exams like CAT, CMAT, GMAT, NMAT, or XAT for admission.
