The number of CDS exam sample papers a candidate should solve depends on their level of preparation, time available, and level of confidence for the exam. However, a good rule of thumb is to solve at least 10 to 15 sample papers before the actual exam. Candidates should start solving the previous year's question papers and then move on to the latest sample papers available. The CDS General Awareness section comprises 120 question for 100 marks. The candidates need to solve all the questions as all question are compulsory. If the candidates leaves the question no marks will be awarded for it, however, if the candidates answer it wrong then the penalty of 1/3 marks will given against the wrong answer. The General Awareness section comprises questions from the Current Affairs general Science, history, polity, geography, Maths etc. The candidates can prepare for the CDS General Awareness section by following the analysis of the CDS exam and solving the previous year's question papers. However, the candidates must pen down that the CDS exam follows a negative pattern and they must marks their answer correctly or they will get their marks deducted.

The CDS General Awareness was moderate to difficult in terms of difficulty level for the CDS 1 2022 exam taken on April 16, 2023. However, the view on the difficulty level varies from candidate to candidate as per the preparation level of the candidates for the CDS General Awareness paper. The question paper comprised topics from the Indian States, true-false statements, Indian forests, Article 51, Sahitya Academy Awards, power and focal length, acid and bases, Koya and Konda tribal, India G20 summit, Vedas, GMT, regulations for Indian President, Citizenship ACT 1955, Ohms law, Country and Places, States and Rivers, etc. To conclude we can say that the overall difficulty level was moderate to difficult for the CDS 1 2022 exam. The candidates preparing for the upcoming exam must solve the CDS 1 question papers to secure maximum marks in the exam.

The difficulty level of CDS 1 2022 exam was easy to moderate in terms of difficulty level. There were questions asked from the previous year's question paper. The questions paper comprised questions from topics like Noun, prepositions, pronoun, reflexive pronoun, demonstrative pronouns, demonstrative pronouns, adjective, adverb, ordering of chunks in a sentences, idiom and phrases, spotting errors, synonyms, antonyms, cloze composition, prepositions and determiners, completion of sentences, comprehension, unseen passage, etc. According to the responses of the candidates taken the exam on April 16, 2023, the overall difficulty level of the CDS English exam was easy to moderate in terms of difficulty level.
