The Central University of Karnataka (CUK) offers a variety of undergraduate (UG), postgraduate (PG), and doctoral courses. Some of the top courses offered at CUK include: 

B.Tech, M.Sc, MBA, B.Sc + M.Sc, MA, B.Ed, M.Tech, BA + MA. 

CUK also offers courses in the fields of humanities, arts, commerce, management, and Science and technology. The university places a special emphasis on knowledge assimilation, dissemination, creation, and social outreach. 

CUK is approved by the University Grants Commission (UGC) and has a "B+" Grade accreditation by NAAC.

In 2022, EduRank Best Universities ranked CUK 371 out of 878 universities and colleges in India. Central University of Kerala is better than Utkal University. CUK has a strong track record with 34th place in the NIRF MBA programme placements. The top 50 universities for MBA placements do not include Utkal University. Compared to Utkal University, CUK's MBA programme features more expensive tuition, which can make it a less affordable choice for certain individuals.

Central University of Kerala is considered to be as good as Utkal University. The overall placement record of CUK may not be as good as that of Utkal University, according to NIRF data.
