The selection process for BSc (Hons) courses at CU Tamil Nadu differs according to the course the candidate has selected. For a better understanding, look at the following pointers:

  • BSc (Hons/ Research) Chemistry: Applicants must complete their Class 12 from the Science stream, and must choose Chemistry, Physics, and one other subject from the CUET-UG domain subject list.
  • BSc (Hons/ Research) Biotechnology: Applicants must complete their Class 12 from the Science stream, and must choose Chemistry, Biology, and one other subject from the CUET-UG domain subject list.

The primary eligibility criterion required for admission to BSc (Hons) courses at Central University of Tamil Nadu is that applicants must complete their Class 12 from the Science stream with a minimum aggregate of 60%.  Additionally, for the selection process of BSc honours, the university accepts relevant CUET UG scores + counselling.

Yes, CUTN does offer BSc (Hons) courses for the duration of four years, divided into eight semesters. The courses are offered in full-time mode. The minimum eligibility requirement for admission to BSc (Hons) course is applicants must complete their Class 12 from Science stream with a minimum aggregate of 60% aggregate for General Category, 55% aggregate for OBC
(NCL)/ EWS and 50% aggregate for SC/ ST/ PWD candidates.

No, students can get admission to the CU Tamil Nadu MBA without SVPET scores because, for admission to the MBA course, the university and Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel International School of Textiles and Management (SVPISTM) also accept relevant scores of the CUET PG. Therefore, applicants with valid scores in any of the following entrance exams can get admission to MBA.

No, applicants are not allowed to get direct admission to the MBA course at the Central University of Tamil Nadu. For admission, applicants are required to complete their bachelor's degree with a decent score and must hold valid scores in CUET PG/ SVP Entrance Test (SVPET)/ or any management entrance exam. Additionally, on the official sources available, the university/ institute does not mention any provision for direct admission explicitly.

CUTN offers an MBA course with several specialsiations in different fields. Moreover, the university also offers an MBA course in partnership with SVPISTM. The names of some of the offered MBA specialsiations are MBA (Textile Management), MBA (Apparel Management), MBA (Retail Management), MBA (Technical Textiles Management), MBA (Textile Business Analytics), Tourism and Hospitality Management, etc.

 Moreover, candidates can get admission to this course after completing their graduation with a minimum aggregate of 50% to 55%. Additionally, for the selection process, the common entrance exam that is applicable to all specialisations
