Overall, it was the best college for the M.A. in Financial Economics course.
Placements: About 83% of students from our course got placement. The highest salary in our study was 22 LPA, the average package was 15 LPA, and the minimum package was 4 LPA. Top recruiting firms, including JPMorgan Chase, Goldman Sachs, Bank of America, and more, visited our campus for placements. About 70% of students from our course received internship opportunities. Roles such as Economists and Market Research Analysts were offered to the students.
Infrastructure: We had everything like Wi-Fi, labs, classrooms, and departmental libraries. Facilities in our hostels, as well as the food in the mess and restaurants, hospital, sports, and games, were excellent. Facilities were provided not only to Tamil Nadu students but also to students from other states and countries.
Faculty: Professors of the college were highly skilled in their fields. They shared their knowledge and passion for the projects. Students were explore the subjects through practical lessons and field assignments. If students had adequate study skills and notes from faculty members, examinations were easier. The passing rate was 80%.

Most of the faculty members are reachable.
Placements: As it is the first batch (PGDM), the placement process has been as expected not too great but not that bad as well. Internship opportunities are huge for PGDM students. If you don't get in through the internship process, the faculty members will help you get into some companies through their contacts in the market. Stipends offered range from Rs. 10,000 pm to 1 LPA.
Infrastructure: There's only 1 boys hostel and 3 girls hostel as the population of girls is higher on this campus. The hostel provides very minimalistic facilities. You'll have to share common bathroom/washrooms. There are no AC and no washing machines but you can get your clothes cleaned by the "Akkas" who clean our rooms.
Faculty: The course structure is highly mathematical and I suggest any aspirants make sure your mathematical skills are up to mark. Having a basic understanding of programming languages and statistics can be very useful. It is a very rigorous course and you will have to put in a lot of effort.

Placements are good it but can be better.
Placements: Around 80% of students got placed. The highest package being 21 LPA and the lowest is 9 LPA. The average package is around 14.5 LPA. Top recruiting companies are - Barclays, Bank of America, Standard Chartered, Accenture AI, Wells Fargo, and Citi Analytics. Around 25% of students got placed in Citi Analytics and Wells Fargo.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure is quite good with neat and clean hostel and a good peer community culture. Library is good and Wi-Fi is okay. Mess is okay with both North Indian and South Indian food. Sports tournaments is conducted once every year which includes football and cricket.
Faculty: Faculty members are very good, helpful, and knowledgeable. Course curriculum is very relevant and rigorous and it makes students industry-ready. Semester exams are rigorous and with a very analytical set of question papers, which is a bit exhausting but helpful in the long term for us.
Other: Financial economics makes you industry-ready in terms of financial analyst jobs with a good amount of data analysis exposure. More focus on core economics would be beneficial. Campus is friendly with an okayish amount of fests.

The life at CUTN is satisfying.
Placements: The placement opportunities at Central University of Tamil Nadu (CUTN) are not good. The number of students passed out from our university in our department in 2024 was 18. Out of them, one student is placed in the private sector and one in the government sector, but in a different background work.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of the university is impressive. Despite being a new campus, the facilities are good. The classrooms and department buildings are a modern day structure, with Wi-Fi access on campus. The laboratory facilities are also good, with microscopes and many samples of rock present.
Faculty: The faculty members are highly educated, with remarkable backgrounds and experience. The education they provide is very helpful for future building and industrial applications. The practical and the field add quality to the education a lot. Overall, the education here is valuable.
Other: The campus is large enough, with good infrastructure and connectivity.

My best college - An honest review.
Placements: Country's top establishments and organizations seek our placement cell to hire us. Almost 95% of the students got placed in these companies. The average salary package offered ranges from 7 LPA - 15 LPA. The rest opted for research opportunities. Most of the students were recruited by leading organizations like HSBC, Nathan Associate, IFMR, Citigroup, Symphony, and Genpact. Final placements in 2019, 114 students were placed. The highest salary package offered was 16.5 LPA.
Infrastructure: Our course had a duration of 2 years and boundless scope was constituted in our curriculum to explore the area of research in the disciplines we wish to flourish upon. Such research opportunities were the best part of our curriculum. Our hostel was the best place and mess was the worst in the college. There was no warden, we could go out at any time but I had heard that things had changed now. College management was little strict. Food was the biggest issue but now the caterer had changed so that was not a problem anymore.
Faculty: Faculty members here consist of guest lecturers from foreign universities too. Most of the teachers were permanent. They shared their experiences with us which helped us and enlightened students too. They were highly qualified. The course curriculum had vast scope for research and other opportunities to learn value-added skills. While we had a lot to learn in our syllabus, never had we ever felt it to be a stress or burden.

The recent placement package offered to BSc graduates at the Central University of Tamil Nadu has not been officially released. However, as per the NIRF report 2024, the university has recorded a median package of INR 2.04 LPA for BSc students. Moreover, this is the overall three-year UG median package for courses. Hence, it might not be specific to the BBA course.

Q:   Which university offers the highest number of BSc seats among the Central University of Karnataka and the Central University of Tamil Nadu?
A:
