Yes, many students felt academics were seriously affected during the protest period. When the situation escalated, classes were disrupted for several days and the routine suddenly became uncertain. Instead of immediate resolution, students experienced confusion about schedules and academic planning. At one point, classes were paused for around 3-4 days, which made students feel the academic loss was being ignored rather than addressed. Students were already stressed about fees and policies, and the disruption added another layer of anxiety about syllabus completion and exams. Many felt their studies were being affected while the issue remained unresolved. Instead of feeling reassured, students felt stuck between worrying about academics and worrying about the larger situation on campus.

This question became one of the biggest talking points during the protest. Many students joined believing that affiliation with PTU meant the fee structure would stay within a similar range. Later, when students compared numbers, they were shocked to see a major difference. For example, B.Tech, MBA and MCA students were paying around ₹1.6 Lacs annually, while PTU's approved fee is around ₹92,200. For B.Com and M.Com as well, the difference was tens of thousands of rupees each year. Students expected a clear and detailed explanation for why the fees were so different, but many felt the answers were not detailed enough. This created confusion and frustration because families had planned finances based on PTU expectations. When clarity did not come quickly, students began questioning transparency and fairness.
